An AI-powered platform that flags questionable research practices in academic literature before they can shape funding decisions. I own the backend end-to-end: a search pipeline that translates one query across 5 academic databases, surfacing 900,000+ deduplicated records narrowed to a targeted corpus, plus citation-graph traversal and a 5-class misconduct classifier powering automated reports. Rebuilt the statistical layer to cut query latency 43% and scale test coverage 3.4×.

Mentorship Marketplace · Team project · 2 sprints

A paid mentorship marketplace connecting job seekers with vetted industry mentors: booking, Stripe payments, Calendly scheduling, AI-guided intake, and live video sessions. I built the backend API and integration layer: session and mentor data services, and resolved a blocking Google OAuth/Calendar authentication issue to get scheduling reliable in production.

Own end-to-end backend architecture for RIGORA, an AI research-integrity platform built with Virginia Tech faculty and funded by the Gates Foundation.
Built multi-database search translating one query across 5 academic databases with database-specific syntax, surfacing 900,000+ deduplicated records narrowed to a targeted corpus.
Rebuilt the statistical layer (power analysis, bootstrap confidence intervals) to fix production accuracy failures, cutting query latency 43% and scaling tests 3.4× (76 → 260+).
Delivered live product demos to the Gates Foundation project lead, contributing to a $500K contract secured for the company.

Oversee a residential community of 40 students within a 280-student building.
Develop and run 6+ programs per semester focused on engagement, leadership, and academic success.
Provide indirect counseling across 20+ one-on-one conversations per semester on college-success strategies and conflict resolution.
